Mauro Gulma
Born in Milan, he lives in Lecce, where he graduated from the Lupiae Comix comics school (Gruppo Grafite) and where he currently teaches character characterization. Among his various experiences as a designer and cartoonist he created illustrations for the Treccani Thesaurus and for the historical volumes of the Veronese Easters. He has drawn several short stories: one for Verticalismi (subsequently published in the fanzine Dylandogofili) and for the comics project “Da una lapide”, for the periodicals Talkink and Out Deluxe.
In 2012 he was among the winners of the Mind The Difference competition, created in collaboration with Sergio Bonelli Editore, with exhibition at the “Wow Spazio Fumetto” museum in Milan.
Based on a screenplay by Ilaria Ferramosca, he drew the graphic novel “Sulla Collina” for the Tunuè publishing house and the illustrated biography of Amedeo Modigliani for Lisciani Libri. Currently, he is a colorist for American publications (Marvel, Dynamite) and the French market (Glenàt, Pétit À Pétit).
